The 2015 Society for Ecological Restoration World Conference will take place in Manchester, UK from 23rd to 27th of August 2015. The Conference theme is Towards Resilient Ecosystems: Restoring the Urban, the Rural and the Wild.
The Society for Ecological Restoration conferences are great events that I recommend wholeheartedly to anyone professionally interested in ecological restoration. Everything about the 2015 World Conference can be found on the official conference website www.SER2015.org
SER’s 6th World Conference on Ecological Restoration takes place in Manchester, England from 23rd – 27th August 2015. Building on recent successful World Conferences and regional meetings such as SER Europe’s 2014 conference in Finland, SER2015 aims to be the major restoration event of the year and to attract a mix of both academics and practitioners from the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
The conference will bring together more than 1,000 delegates from around the world to explore the role of ecological restoration as a means of responding to current and future causes of environmental degradation and as a tool for addressing the myriad 21st century challenges we face – environmental, economic and social. The 4-day scientific program will feature world-renowned keynote and plenary speakers, thought-provoking symposia, pre-conference training courses, field trips, and a range of concurrent sessions.
Call for Proposals
For those participants interested in organising a symposium, leading a workshop, or conducting a training course at the conference, the organisers are inviting proposal submissions by 12 December 2014 through the conference website.
The Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) is now accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations for the Conference. The deadline for abstract submissions is 13 February 2015.
Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
